This drama themed resource is designed to create opportunities for you to connect with your families and communities while showcasing the financial literacy work you do with your students.

After a highly successful pre-pilot, we are getting ready to launch our pilot very soon. This pilot will contain a box of props for your to keep and use, as well as supporting resources and scripts.

Moneybox Productions FAQs

  • Moneybox Productions is a drama theme week kit inspiring student creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking as they write and perform short skits.

    This resource includes access to a page of downloadable resources, money theme week lesson ideas plus a box of drama props for your students’ skits and productions.

  • You will receive a prop box in the post containing items to help your children practice through play. Simply select one of the three models of delivery to build a theme week that works for you and what you want to cover.

    Choose from five downloadable script starters that each provide age appropriate, money related scenarios. The scripts are based around our core values of Wisdom, Generosity, Thankfulness, and Justice by using the 5 Big Questions resources and structure. Combine this with your free box of props to bring each story to life.

    Working in small groups, students apply skills such as decision making and comprehending consequences to develop unique and satisfying conclusions to the stories.

    With multiple models of delivery, Moneybox Productions activities are flexible and build towards the writing, staging, and rehearsing of short skits, followed by a performance for friends and family. This also presents an opportunity to share additional (supplied) financial literacy resources in the school community.

  • Each box will contain the props needed for all five scripts. It should be obvious which props go with which story, but you and your class can use them however you like!

Breadth

Cover each of the 5 Big Questions by selecting one play script starter as a focus for each day, week or term.

Depth

Select one of the five scripts for an in-depth dive over the week. Break the themes and ideas down, work on drama skills, and build towards a well-rehearsed presentation.

Expansion

Compliment the resources in this pack with our 5 Big Questions About Money material and develop well-rehearsed skits for the children to perform.
