Statement on the resignation of the Archbishop of Canterbury

Just Finance Foundation acknowledges the resignation of Archbishop Justin Welby.

Just Finance Foundation was established in response to Archbishop Justin Welby’s interventions on payday lending and call for a more just financial system for all. The Archbishop has served as President of Just Finance Foundation since 2017. 

Just Finance Foundation condemns any action from an individual or institution that perpetuates the trauma of survivors and victims of abuse or has a culture that allows abuse to continue without appropriate consequences. Together, we work for a society where survivors are always heard, protected and supported, and a future where everyone can live safe from harm.
